Patrick Dempsey has raised plenty of eyebrows on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd. Off-screen, he is turning heads again after purchasing a $7,000,000 home in Malibu, California (wowzers). The 3.24 acre property was designed by modern architectural genius, Frank Gehry and features three bedrooms, three and a half baths, barn, riding ring, pastures, gardens, swimming pool, outdoor garden, and a chicken coop.

Patrick’s home reflects a minimalist style with pure white walls and neutral tones. Each interior has just enough furnishings to fill a room without appearing too bare or cluttered. Our favorite rooms in the home are the kitchen and bathroom. The master bathroom suite screams luxury with polished concrete counters and tub. The fireplace adds an intimate touch to the space. We love how the concrete continues into the kitchen. The light-colored cabinetry looks perfectly framed inside the white base. The stainless steel appliances allow for a contemporary play on texture.

Overall, we found McDreamy’s house to be magnificent. It is a well styled home that can be casual for his family and guests.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) – Downtown Baton Rouge went Hollywood for a couple of days with filming for an upcoming movie.

“Flypaper” is a comedy about a bank heist. Filming started in June. It stars Ashley Judd and Patrick Dempsey.

It was a pretty tame set. There were no explosions or dramatic stunts. Some locals are getting in on the act, too.

“I think it’s fantastic,” said Ashley Braud, a featured extra. “The more movies that come here is more publicity for the state, the region and Baton Rouge. It gives us one up on California.”

The filming caused portions of Third Street and Convention Street to be closed Saturday and Tuesday.

So onto the doings of the Dempsey world. So we have all heard that Valentine’s Day is going to be out soon. Are you going to buy it??? I liked the movie but not for the Patrick Dempsey part. He didn’t have a large roll and wasn’t that lovable a character….

But I may get it just because I liked the movie.

Flypaper is in the works. Its going to be filmed in Louisiana and soon. We heard May. But I also heard that they are still looking for a leading lady. What do you think??? Maybe some of us should take up some acting!!!! We could help Patrick out and be his leading lady….

Transformers 3….this has some women saying they have never seen 1 and 2 and are going out to see it. Brilliant move in my opinion. Put some Dempsey in there and draw the women!!! Not saying that Shia isn’t a cutie but he is no Dempsey!!! When and where is the filming???

“Dear John” director Lasse Hallstrom has come aboard to helm “Tom’s Dad” for Point Blank Prods. and Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil. Patrick Dempsey is attached to star in the coming-of-age film written by New York playwright Marty Casella.

The story unfolds in 1962 Las Vegas, as a successful character actor and vaudevillian nightclub performer struggles to keep up with changing comedy styles as his estranged son appears to complicate matters.

Point Blank Prods. is also developing an adaptation of Herman Wouk’s classic 1930’s-set novel “Marjorie Morningstar,” scripted by Point Blank’s Keith Clarke. The material was turned into a feature once before, in 1958, that starred Gene Kelly and Natalie Wood.

“The novel has an incredible following because it tells the timeless and universal story of a young woman who heartbreakingly discovers herself after falling in love with the ‘wrong’ man,” said Point Blank producer Joni Levin. “Our script is more faithful to the book, which is loved by so many.”

The UTA-repped Hallstrom has directed “The Hoax,” “Casanova” and “Chocolat.” He is developing the drama “The Danish Girl” with producer-star Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films.

Repped by UTA and Joannie Burstein, Dempsey most recently starred in “Enchanted,” “Made of Honor” and “Valentine’s Day.”

Point Blank, founded by Clarke and Levin, most recently produced the forthcoming adventure drama “The Way Back,” directed and co-written by Peter Weir. The company also produced “John Huston: The Man, the Movies, the Maverick,” “MGM: When the Lion Roars,” “In Search of Dr. Seuss” and the remake of “Three Secrets.”

Indie bank-heist comedy “Flypaper” has rounded out its cast with Pruitt Taylor Vince, Mekhi Phifer, John Ventimiglia, Matt Ryan, Greg Germann, Octavia Spencer and Jeffrey Tambor.

Ashley Judd and Patrick Dempsey are toplining the project, shooting in Louisiana. Peter Safran, Mark Damon and Dempsey are producing with Joannie Burstein, Greg Walker, Tamara Stuparich De La Barra, and Gudrun Giddings exec producing.

Pic is directed by Rob Minkoff from a script by “The Hangover” team of Jon Lucas and Scott Moore in the tale of a bank robbed by two groups of crooks at the same time. However, they both come under attack by a secret enemy (Dempsey), to save the bank teller whom he loves.

We also have news that Patrick is in Baton Rouge as we speak either getting more cast together for the film or filming. All of which is a bit behind schedule as we were told filming would start in May for the film.

I like the new casting of Ashley Judd, I personally like her better than Liv Tyler. But that is my personal opinion.

As far as personal goes, rumor has it that Patrick has left Brazil and  is going to  Louisiana to film FlyPaper! I have a friend there who is hoping to see our leading man while he is there. I hope she gets her chance! There are also rumors from the Brazil interviews that Patrick is going to be in Transformers 3! Very cool. Its definitely a different type of movie for him!.
