One of my friends online showed me this video which is a fun celebration of Meredith and Derek. So I thought I would share it with you to celebrate a new Grey’s Anatomy tonight.

Season 5 was awesome. I enjoyed all aspects sans one. Dead Denny. While I loved seeing Jeffery Dean Morgan, I was not happy with the whole Dead Denny thing and am glad that is over with.

Hiatus over, I am ready for the season. And now I freaking find out that Derek is neked in the FIRST episode. SWEET!

So we know we have neked Derek Shepherd (aka neked McDreamy Hottenstein) , a funeral (hopefully not too close to neked McHotstuff Shepherd)  because I really can’t mix the two too close together. Mourning and Mclust? Can’t do it.

What else is happening that we know about…Derek gives Izzy and Alex his trailer. That we see in the preview with gorgeous Mcnekedness.  Questions…Is Derek going to be chief? Is Izzy going to STAY alive? Are Christina and Owen going to stay together? How about Lexie and Sloan. They had a kind of break up before going on hiatus.  So many questions and UGH- 2 more weeks to go!!!

Doesn’t he look cute? @ShondaRhimes posted this image on twitter today.. He is asking for support of his Cancer Center. Patrick Dempsey Cancer Center for Hope and Healing. The race is coming up soon and you can support those who are trying to raise funds to support it. I have two friends who are trying to raise funds for this event. Both plan to go to Maine October 4, 2009 and run/walk or ride to raise money for the cancer center.

The center is very important to families and patients dealing with cancer. This center gives patient and family support, integrative medicine, prevention and education and more.

Please donate to the center through Christy in honor of her father or to my friend Shannon in honor of her family that has been lost to cancer.  Even a dollar will help!

Hunk, heartthrob, and star of the upcoming film … The Art of Racing in the Rain. [by the way Garth Stein is HAUTE too!]

You may just be old enough to remember Dempsey when he was the heartthrob star of such films as Can’t Buy Me Love, back in the dark ages of the ‘80s (and we’re not telling you if we remember — we refuse to reveal our age!). But you probably know him best as Dr. McDreamy from the hit show, Grey’s Anatomy.

And dreamy he certainly is!

We here in the hallowed halls (or is that cyber-halls?) of Haute or Not? most definitely have a soft spot for deliciously dreamy men of the tall, dark, and handsome kind … but then again, we are not that shallow.

There are many other reasons to crush on Mr. Dempsey. Let me count the ways.

First off, he made it back to the top after a ten-year-long dry spell in his acting career. Things were so bad for him, in fact, that he toyed around with something that would turn out to be very dangerous. Not drugs, or booze, or some of the other nefarious things ex-celebs unfortunately become entangled in. No, he was contemplating a change in career, one that involved remodeling and selling homes (can anyone say housing bubble?).

He’s also a devoted father to three kids and is married to one gorgeous woman, Jillian Fink, founder of Delux Beauty. Sorry, ladies, we can’t have everything. Or can we? Regardless, Dempsey is one lucky dude.

And while all these parts of his life are interesting, it’s not why we are raving about Patrick Demspey’s hauteness.

Patrick also loves dogs and car racing. In fact, he just signed on to star in the upcoming cool pic, The Art of Racing in the Rain (based on Garth Stein’s novel of the same name, which we reviewed in Monday’s Haute or Not?), about the even cooler doggy, Enzo.

Yes, that’s going to be one movie we can’t wait to see.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ begins shooting season six today, and tidbits of news are spreading like wildfire throughout the web. Here’s a compilation of what we’ve learned so far:

1.  Per TVGuide.com veteran actress Martha Plimpton begins a 2-episode guest starring arc in the season premiere as the mother of a young patient. (Perhaps Bailey won’t be able to stay away from peds after all?) TVGuide.com is also reporting that X-files alum  Mitch Pileggi will be reprising his role as Seattle Grace board chairman Larry Jennings. This time Jennings will be on hand to conduct official hospital business, but hopefully at least one character will manage to get a swipe in about the fish they removed from a sensitive part of his anatomy on his last visit.

2. TV.Guide.com’s Matt Mitovich sure has been on the hunt for ‘Grey’s’ scoop this week. In addition to the casting news listed above, he has also revealed in his weekly Mega Buzz column that sources have confirmed to him that (SPOILER ALERT) the season six premiere will pick up with both George and Izzie still coding. [this is interesting to know! Because many have wondered whether they will go ahead in time because supposedly TR Knight says he won't come back...] Mittovich goes on to say that the outcome of this traumatic situation will have a deep impact on many of the characters “including one doctor whose reaction you may have taken for granted”. (Who do you think he means? Guesses are welcome in the comments section.)

3. Recurring ‘Grey’s’ star Steven Bailey has announced via his Twitter feed that Joe the Bartender will make his comeback in the season premiere. Yesterday he tweeted,  “Grey’s goes back into production tomorrow…I’ve been told I’m in the first episode of the year, but we shall see…” (Speaking of Twitter, feel free to follow my feed @erinjnolan.

4. As we all know by now, Emmy nominations will be announced Thursday morning, but those aren’t the only awards that should be of interest to ‘Grey’s’ fans. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ won several of E! Online’s 2009 Tater Top Awards,but they weren’t all necessarily ones the show can be proud of (hint: the reviled “ghost sex” storyline “won” a few). 5. Shonda Rhimes has promised via her own Twitter feed to try and take a picture from the set today and post it on Twitter. Stay tuned to see if she follows through. [She did follow through, we got a fun picture of Sara Ramirez! ]

This is great, he is playing with Courney Cox, Dominic Monahan and Ed O’neil.

I am not happy with this choice.

“Grey’s Anatomy” — Only Ellen Pompeo remains in lead. Patrick Dempsey has dropped down to supporting.

What a great season! Of course season 4 was good, but the writers strike in the middle of the season was bothersome and the whole Rose thing bothered me. But the end was good with Derek and Meredith having found each other once again and we were ready for a great season.

We have come so far in this season! Remember, at the beginning Lexie loved George, not Sloan and George was still an intern.

Meredith and Derek were finding each other again and we still had Dr. Hahn around and were just introduced to Dr. Hunt.

Izzy and Alex weren’t a couple either! So much can happen in the matter of a season.

Wondering how the 2 hour season finale will go….Is Izzy going to die or will Derek save her and her memory? Will Derek and Meredith finally get married? Will Christina forgive and forget with Dr. Hunt?

I’m ready!

Holy shirtless-ness Batman! I've not been very attracted to Owen, I like the character but not super attracted to his face. In my opinion they should have had him shirtless from day one! This is a HOT picture (screenshot), artistic even!

Derek Shepard

Derek telling Meredith that she is strong

Derek tells Meredith that he wants to live the rest of his life with her and she says the same back. Sweetness! I believe we have been waiting for this moment for 5 years?!?!?! No Rose, No Addison. Just Meredith and Derek!

Patrick has a few lucky ladies in his life that get to kiss him on a daily basis. Ellen Pompeo and of course his wife! I say when he meets me he'd better kiss me...we'll just pretend that we're acting.

I am also listening to Shonda and Betsy on the Grey’s Podcast. I love listening to these women. They live this show. They really seem to think of  these characters as real. Them talking about Meredith not being a super romantic, he proposed the right way for her. That is me too. I loved when Derek told her that her dark and twisty was a strength for her and not a weakness, it was great.

I think that is why I relate to Meredith so much, she is dark and twisty, weird relationship with her mother, etc. Its me too.

Listening to Shonda and Betsy talking about sunscreen and Izzy’s illness on the show. Its amazing how you don’t even think about suntanning. Melanoma is what killed my mother. In fact this whole Izzy thing hits too close to home. My mother had exactly what Izzy has. Skin cancer that went to the rest of her body. If you take anything from this storyline, keeping skin cancer in check is huge.

Looks like we don’t have a new show for awhile. They said a little hiatus until towards the end of April 23rd… I hate the Hiatus’s.:((

BTW- I bought the game…not so crazy about it. Not worth the $30 spent!
